2023 Guber: INEC Bars APC From Fielding Governorship Candidate In Akwa Ibom
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has barred the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Akwa Ibom State from fielding governorship candidate in next year’s general elections.
Oasis Magazine learnt that this is as a result of the party not conducting its governorship primaries on the scheduled date that it informed INEC.
The party in the state has been enmeshed in internal crisis.
Recall that Akwa Ibom State delegates were not allowed to vote at the just concluded APC Presidential Primaries due to a court injunction.
