Ahwinahwi Presents Letter Of Commendation, Cash Gift To Brave Tanker Driver For Averting Catastrophe In Agbarho

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, House of Representatives candidate for Ughelli North/Ughelli South/Udu Federal Constituency in the 2023 general elections, Hon Solomon Ahwinahwi, has presented a letter of commendation and cash to Comrade Ejiro Otarigho, the brave tanker driver who drove a burning tanker from danger zone to avert a tragic fire incident in Agbarho, Delta State.
Hon Ahwinahwi accompanied by some members of his campaign organisation commended Comrade Otarigho for risking his life by driving a burning truck for almost 25 minutes from a densely populated area, popularly called 5 Junction, in Agbarho Town to Agbarho riverside where the inferno completely razed the tanker.
He noted that Otarigho’s daring action averted what would have been a major disaster in Agbarho which is worthy of commendation.
Hon Ahwinahwi who presented cash donation and letter of commendation to Comrade Ejiro Otarigho said the gesture was meant to simply appreciate him and members of his family, just as the incident has made him loss his source of livelihood.
He commended Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, the Urhobo Progress Union, UPU, and others for reaching out to Comrade Ejiro Otarigho, noting that such gesture will encourage the act of patriotism in other Deltans.
Responding, an elated Comrade Ejiro Otarigho thanked Hon Solomon Ahwinahwi for the gesture, noting that it will help him and his family for some time.
