Deputy Gov’ship Candidate: Onicha-Ukwuani Community Felicitates With Onyeme, Set To Honour Him

The people of Onicha-Ukwuani Community in Ndokwa West Local Government Area of Delta State have congratulated one of their own, Chief Monday Onyeme for emerging as the 2023 Deputy Governorship Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state.

Speaking on behalf of the Onicha-Ukwuani Community, Ogbuiji Augustine Chukwuma, who is the Permanent Secretary, Delta State Post Primary Education Board (PPEB) described the choice of Chief Monday Onyeme as well deserved and commendable.

He described Chief Monday Onyeme as an astute and consummate administrator and kind-hearted individual who had continued to impact positively on several lives, especially the less privileged in different parts of the state through his humanitarian gestures.

Ogbuiji Augustine Chukwuma also appreciated the People’s Democratic Party, the Governor of Delta State, Senator (Dr.) Ifeanyi Okowa and the 2023 Governorship Candidate of the party, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori for considering their illustrious son, Chief Monday Onyeme as the governorship running mate to Rt. Hon. Oborevwori.

He described the duo as a very compatible choice, adding that it was a thing of joy for the party to have zoned its deputy Governorship to the Ndokwa nation.

While saying that Onicha-Ukwuani Community was proud of the chairman of the Board of Internal Revenue for all his achievements with the position, especially in boosting the IGR of the state since his appointment as chairman of the Board of Internal Revenue by the Okowa administration, Ogbuiji Chukwuma noted that Chief Onyeme’s unblemished track records were worthy of emulation.

Ogbuiji Augustine Chukwuma hinted that the Okpala-Uku and the entire people of Onicha-Ukwuani Community were making plans to organise civic reception for Chief Onyeme in appreciation for his inspiring contributions not only to the development of Onicha-Ukwuani Community but the state at large.

The PPEB Permanent Secretary described Onicha-Ukwuani as a blessed community with several outstanding human resources, adding that one of the sons of the community was the first majority leader of the State House of Assembly in the person of Hon. Aneke Ifemeni added that history was about to repeat itself with Chief Monday Onyeme as the first Deputy Governor to emerge from Ndokwa ethnic nationality.

He said that the community would continue to support the Okowa administration in its determination to finish strong, stressing that Chief Onyeme remained an uncommon asset to the present administration in the state.
