Top Kano APC Chieftain’s Mother Kidnapped

The mother of an All Progressives Congress (APC) bigwig and Kano Central Senatorial candidate, A. A. Zaura, has been kidnapped by unknown gunmen.

SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, the Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed the incident.

He claimed that the elderly victim, Hajia Laure Mai Kunu, was kidnapped and taken to an unknown location in the early hours of Monday.

He claimed that a team of cops had been dispatched to apprehend the criminals and save the victim.

Kiyawa urged the public to assist security agencies by providing any vital information that could lead to the suspects’ arrest.

Chairman of Ungogo Local Government, Engr. Abdullahi Garba Ramat also confirmed the incident to newsmen.

He said Hajia Laure was kidnapped at her residence in Rangaza ward of Zaura village of Ungogo Local Government, Kano State.
