Minister of State for Labour and Spokesman of the APC 2023 Presidential Council, Festus Keyamo (SAN), has clarified his statememt that was twisted to mean that Tinubu will handle Nigeria same way like Buhari if he takes over, come 2023.
Keyamo had appeared on Channels TV where during the station’s Politics Today live programme, praised the Buhari administration, but said there were a few challenges.
Keyamo, who took to Twitter on Sunday, clarified his interview with Channels TV, saying his response was to “put purveyors of fake headlines out of business.”
He wrote: “There’re areas where PMB’s Govt has done exceedingly well: infrastructure, rail, agriculture, etc. Our @officialABAT will continue with those revolutionary strides but also seek to improve on them.”
He continued: “There’re areas of security challenges that have improved significantly, e.g farmers-herders’ clashes, North-East insurgency, etc; @officialABAT will review these situations & employ additional strategies to maintain the momentum & consolidate the gains achieved in these areas.”
According to his tweets, “as for new areas of security challenges, e.g banditry and kidnappings in the N/West, @officialABAT is prepared to employ additional tools and tactics to compliment the present work in progress in order to totally eradicate them if Nigerians graciously give him their mandate.”
