Obaseki Celebrates Bishop Idahosa At 50, Hails Exemplary Leadership, Contributions To State’s Devt
The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has felicitated with Bishop Faith Emmanuel Benson (FEB) Idahosa of Church of God Mission International on his 50th birthday, hailing his exemplary leadership and contributions to the development of the state.
The governor, at the 50th birthday celebration of the clergy in Benin City, prayed that God will grant the celebrant many years in good health and wisdom.
Other guests at the event include Edo State’s Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Comr. Philip Shaibu; First Lady, Betsy Obaseki; Archbishop Margaret Idahosa; Bishop Benson Akhigbe and Bishop Wale Ajayi, among others.

Obaseki said, “Our friend and brother is a true great son of a great father and has come to, in the past half a century, reflect the ethos of a new generation.
“He has always served as a magnet to young people and a great inspiration to this present generation.
“Bishop Feb Idahosa is one of those young Edo men I respect principally because of his sense of leadership. He can be trusted and has been a friend and supporter of this government.”
Commending his support for the state government, the governor stated, “I don’t know how we could have succeeded with EdoJobs, one of our pilot programmes, without his support, advice and nurturing.
“We cannot forget your role in our fight against COVID-19. You mobilized all the men of God to join us in the campaign. You stood out, not only as a pastor but as a public health specialist to give direction in that fight against COVID-19.”
