Delta State’s Debt Set to Hit N850Bn, As Okowa Seeks Fresh N120Bn Loan

“Governor Ifeany Okowa has asked the Delta State House of Assembly to allow him borrow N120 billion TODAY.”
Publisher, Secret Reporters, Fejiro Oliver said this in a Facebook post on Thursday.
According to him, “the letter was sent to the Speaker few minutes ago in today’s plenary.”
He added: “In the two separate letters, he asked to borrow N100 billion from one bank and N20 billion from another bank.

“The Assembly will soon say “Ayes” to it.”
The publisher who believes that Senator Ovie Omo-Agege is the best candidate to govern the state, also wrote: “Deltans, our debt profile with this new borrowing is now N850 billion.”
