Okowa Appoints Izu, Two Other Former LGA Vice Chairmen As SSAs
By Daniel Dafe
Governor, Delta State, Senator (Dr.) Ifeanyi Okowa, has appointed Hon. Christopher Izu as Senior Special Assistant on Political Matters.
Comrade Izu is the immediate past Vice Chairman of Ethiope East Local Government Area in the state.
He served in the administration of Chief Faith Majemite.
The appointment, many believe was orchestrated to induce his loyalty to the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the state, Rt. (Hon.) Sheriff Oborevwori.
Recall that Izu was outspoken in his support for David Edevbie to fly the party’s flag in the 2023 guber contest.
