By Daniel Dafe
The Executive Assistant (Technical Education) to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and Chairman of the Technical Education Board, Michael Akpobire, has resigned his appointment.
His resignation was contained in a letter on Thursday addressed to the Delta State Office of the Executive Assistant (Technical Education), Governor’s office.
Akpobire, who stated that “everything that has a beginning must have a end,” said that his service to the Okowa government has come to an end.

“I will henceforth deploy my potentials to more fulfilling enterprise/platforms,” he added, just as he thanked the governor for finding him worthy to serve.
This development may not be unconnected to recent defections of members from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP to the All Progressives Congress, APC, in order to reposition themselves ahead of the general elections next month.
