VC Presents Four New Vehicles To Service Centres To Boost Productivity, Corporate Image

On Monday, 13th February 2023, the Vice Chancellor, Lagos State University, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji – Bello, mni, at the Main Campus, Ojo, Lagos, presented Four (4) new buses to some Directorates and Service Centres.
The gesture, according to the Vice Chancellor was to enhance productivity, as well as, create a better image for the University.
Her words “…Today is a very good day, for us to commission for the use, comfort of our staff and to enhance productivity”, she started.

Speaking further, the Professor of Physiology, added that, two (2) of the Directorates presented with the buses would generate income, increase the revenue base of the University and at the same time improve the image of the institution.
Lastly, she averred that the well thought out gesture would generate more output from the Directorates, especially, productivity.
Thereafter, she cut the ribbon, to mark the presentation, presented the letters of allocation and keys to the Directors, as well as the Special Assistant to the Vice Chancellor.
Speaking on behalf of the Four (4) that got the vehicles, the Director, Lagos State University Consult, Prof. Ibrahim Bakare, thanked the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ibiyemi Ibilola Olatunji – Bello, mni, and the Management team for the kind gesture, adding that, the best of LASU was yet to come.
“I thank the Vice Chancellor and the University Management for this gesture. The Vice Chancellor and the Management team have put LASU on a glorious path. The best of LASU is yet to come. With a lean purse, the Vice Chancellor still did this”, he exclaimed.
Prof. Bakare ended his brief remarks by agreeing with the Vice Chancellor that vehicles would boost productivity, enhance the Corporate Identity of the University and described Professor Olatunji – Bello as a visionary leader.
The Registrar brought the event to an end with vote of thanks and closing remarks. He assured that with the new vehicles, the Centres would deliver quality output. He added that the additional buses were a plus to the Vice Chancellor and the University Management’s list of achievements.
The Directorate of Sports and Recreation got a 32 – Seater Coaster Bus, while the trio of LASU Consult, LASU Ventures and the Office of the Vice Chancellor got 18 passenger Hiace buses.
Other Principal Officers at the event include Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration), Prof. Adenike Boyo, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academics), Prof. Funsho Omobitan, the Bursar, Mr. Said Babatunde Olayinka and the University Librarian, Dr. Layi Adebayo.
Other high ranking officers of the University were at the brief presentation.
