ADC Appoints New Interim Leaders Ahead Of 2027 Elections

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has named Senator David Mark as its Interim National Chairman, with Rauf Aregbesola, former Osun State governor, stepping in as Interim National Secretary. Bolaji Abdullahi, a former minister, will serve as Interim National Publicity Secretary.

This leadership shake-up is part of a major effort to restructure and reposition the ADC as a viable alternative ahead of the 2027 general elections. The party is gearing up to challenge President Bola Tinubu and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

The ADC’s growing coalition reportedly includes political heavyweights such as Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, Nasir El-Rufai, and Rotimi Amaechi—signaling a potential realignment in Nigeria’s opposition bloc.
