Be Magnanimous In Victory- Olodia Tells Sheriff
A Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) stalwart in Aviara, Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State, Hon Oreva Olodia has congratulated Delta State Governor-elect in the just concluded Governorship polls, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori on his victory, advising him to be magnanimous in his victory.
Hon Olodia in a statement described the victory of Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori to the will of Deltans and the acceptability of the governor elect by all Deltans irrespective of political parties, tribes and associations.
He said; “This victory is a lesson for all. It shows that everyone matters in politics, particularly the electorates. It also confirms the famous dictum that ‘God’s time is the best.
“Election has come and gone. The victory is not only for PDP faithfuls but for all political parties, groups in the State. PDP Leaders, all candidates elect, and all PDP faithfuls should beware of the monster called PRIDE and be magnanimous in victory.
” I am convinced that Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori will provide enduring leadership for the people in appreciation for the massive support they have given him by his election.
“I also congratulates Hon Ferguson, Honourable Member elect for Isoko South Constituency II, and his counterparts for Isoko South constituency I, Hon Owhede Bino Obowomano, and Barr. Bernard Isoko North Constituency, on their respective victories.”
He however counselled the Delta State Governor-elect not to take the trust and confidence for granted, just as he urged him to carry everybody along.
Hon Olodia also acknowledged the people of Aviara Ward who came out enmasse to vote PDP, the Director-General of Isoko South PDP Campaign, Chief Barr Joe Arausi and other members of the campaign committee, the Governor of Delta State, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa whose tireless efforts and commitment resulted to the victories of all PDP candidates in the just concluded elections.
