The candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in the Delta State House of Assembly race, Ethiope East Constituency, Olorogun (Hon) Arthur Akpowowo has emerged member-elect.

He polled a total of 14, 021 to stop his closest rival, Chief Innocent Anidi of the All Progressives Congress, APC, who presently occupies the seat from returning back as lawmaker representing the area.

Anidi got a total of 10,421.

Reacting to his victory, via a telephone conversation with Oasis Magazine, he described the election as a peaceful one that brought the PDP back to power in Ethiope East, saying he is glad that they also won both the House of Reps and presidential polls conducted last month.
