By Daniel Dafe
The Forum of Social Democratic Party LGA Chairmen In Delta State has reacted to the altercation presently going on between state executive members of the party and Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi, governorship candidate of the party in the 2023 elections, just as the forum accused the National Sectretary of incompetency and always interloping in SDP Delta State affairs without proper investigation.
This was contained in a statement jointly signed by Prophet Moses Atawheke, Chairman, SDP, Isoko North LGA and Chairman, SDP Forum of Local Government Chairmen, alongside Comrade Kurex Usife, Chairman, Ndokwa West and Secretary of the forum.
The statement added: “The gubernatorial candidate, Gbagi that enjoys the backing of the National Secretary, never carried the party along before and after elections,” adding that to this end “SDP Delta State doesn’t recognize him as its candidate.”

The Forum also said that the funds and vehicles that were given to SDP Delta State, were hijacked by Gbagi.
Adding: “He told us he will never get 0% vote from SDP because he so much believed in the church and LABOUR PARTY (LP),” saying that “this is pure anti-party.
According to the statement, Gbagi the church and LP will deliver him and so he neglected the “great SDP party.”
They wondered how a candidate will go to court without the help of the party.
“To This end the Forum of Local government Chairmen SDP Delta is in full support to say we are not part of his tribunal matter and he is not part of us. We shall definitely show him out of SDP,” they declared.
