Democracy Day: Idawene Congratulates Nigerians, Deltans

Chairman of The Integrity Group of Delta State and immediate past Chairman of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, in the state, Ambassador Oke Idawene, has felicitated with De;tans and Nigerians on the 2023 Democracy Day celebrations.
In a press statement on Monday, he opined that the nation’s democracy is still in a developing phase, while calling on Nigerians to be patriotic in their day to day activities.
Adding: “In a matter of few years, we shall be enviable amongst the committee of nations.”
He urged Deltans and Nigerians to always encourage their leaders and give them the needed support for governments at all levels to succeed.

He continued: “We must embrace the virtues of unity, peace, excellence, patriotism and all that to be able to continually make progress,”
According to him, Nigerians have sacrificed much to keep the country going, but said that leaders must call themselves to order to help the country’s democracy grow.
“Abiola remains an icon in Nigeria’s democratic journey,” he said, while calling on citizens of the country to learn to respect leadership and play their roles in making Nigeria great again.
