NASS To Hold Joint Sitting To Mark Democracy Day
As part of activities marking the June 12th, 2025 Democracy Day, the National Assembly will host President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at a joint sitting, this week Thursday.
The event is to celebrate 26 years of uninterrupted democratic governance in Nigeria and the role of the National assembly in the nation’s democratic evolution.

The democracy day celebration has as its theme” 26 years of Democracy: Renewing Our Commitment to National Development.”
The joint sitting will be attended by former presiding officers of both the senate and House of Representatives and will feature conferment of National Honors on selected legislators by President Bola Tinubu.
