Junior World Cup: Ex Super Eagles Striker, Akwuegbu Warns Flying Eagles On Over Confidence, Carelessness
As the FIFA U20 World Cup reaches its quarterfinal stage, the stage is set for an exhilarating clash between Nigeria and South Korea.
The two teams will face off at the Estadio Único Madre de Ciudades on Sunday, June 4, 2023, in what promises to be a captivating encounter.
Both teams have shown their mettle in the previous rounds, and with a spot in the semifinals at stake, they will leave no stone unturned in their quest for victory.
And speaking to Cerutti Media, ex Super Eagles Star Striker, Ben Akwuegbu aka Austrian Bomber has called on the Nigerian team to be careful about being over confident in the game in view of their historic victory over host Argentina.
“It is good news for Nigeria and Flying Eagles Coach, Ladan Bosso before the game against Argentina.
“This is the World Cup and it is wrong to under-rate any team. We won two of our three matches and had the same number of points in our group as Brazil and Italy. We are no pushovers in this campaign.

“It was wow day for us and it indeed came to pass. But I don’t want this to get into the boys head…they must remain calm and avoid last minute carelessness that may end up working against us. On the whole, I rate this team as the cup favourite with our two greatest nemesis Brazil and Argentina out,” opined the well travelled soccer star now based in London.
