A Public Affairs Analyst, Kenny Okolugbo, has urged the new Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Mr. Abdulkarim Chukkol, to ensure that he goes ahead and prosecute the cases of politically exposed persons that have been brought before the EFCC.

According to Kenny Okolugbo, the EFCC Acting Chairman already has three petitions against three former governors brought against it.

Kenny Okolugbo disclosed that the three petitions includes the petitions against the former governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa, the former governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom, and Governor of Zamfara State Matawalle.

Kenny Okolugbo maintained that Mr. Abdulkarim Chukkol does not have any other option other than to investigate these matters which have been brought before him and make the findings of the petition known to Nigerians.

Kenny Okolugbo urged Mr. Abdulkarim Chukkol not to allow the petitions to be swept under the carpet.

Kenny Okolugbo was of the opinion that how Mr. Abdulkarim Chukkol is able to handle the petitions will determine if Nigerians will regain the confidence they once had about EFCC.
