Warri Shut Down For Burial Of Ememoh 11

Warri, the commercial hub of Delta State was shut down for the final rites of passage of HRM London Aforkerhi Itu JP Ememoh 11 the Ovie of Agbarha Warri Kingdom on Saturday 17th June, 2023.
Major areas in the oil city particularly areas belonging to the ancient Urhobo Kingdom of Agbarha Warri were closed for business.
The affected areas were the ever busy Enerhen Junction from Shell Ramp down to Main Market including Igbudu Market ( the biggest market in Delta State ) , Deco Road (all in Igbudu and Otovwodo communities ).
The DBS, College of Education and Government House Annex ,host community of Edjeba, Ogunu , Okurode (Ekurede Urhobo) and the Agbarha Warri riverine communities of Oteghele and Ukpokiti were also shut.
Meanwhile the event attracted distinguished personalities from far and near including the Governor of Delta State Rt Hon Sheriff Francis Oborevwori who was represented by his Chief of Sfaff, Hon Johnson Erijo , the member representing Warri South Constituency 11 at the Delta State House of Assembly, Chief ( Hon ) Benson Obire and his colleagues.
Also present were respected community leaders, representatives of non indigenes, clergymen , trade unions among others.
