Delta Govt Raises Alarm On Illegal Revenue Collectors

The result of the 2023 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) conducted from June 05 to June 09 2023, in Delta State has been released.

A statement from the Permanent Secretary in the State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, Mr. Augustine Oghoro indicated that out of a total of 89,353 candidates that wrote the examination, 80,678 candidates representing 90% passed.

The statement further said that 6,713 candidates representing 8% were to resit either English Studies or Mathematics, while 616 candidates representing 1.0% outrightly failed the examination and would repeat the class .

It urged Chief Inspectors of Education (CIEs) in the 25 Local Government Areas to proceed to the Department of Examinations and Standards on Monday, July 31st to collect the scratch cards to enable candidates accessed their results.

The statement advised all resit candidates in both public and private schools to pay an enrolment fee of Two Thousand Five Hundred Naira (₦2,500) only, to enable them take the resit examinations that would be conducted on Saturday, September 16, 2023.
