Osanebi Congratulates Nwaoboshi On Supreme Court Victory
Deputy Governorship Candidate of the All Progressive Congress in the March 18 Gubernatorial Elections in Delta, Rt. Hon. Friday Osanebi has congratulated Sen. Peter Nwaoboshi after the Supreme Court discharged and acquitted him today in the money laundering case brought against him by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC)
Osanebi while speaking to newsmen at the court premises immediately after the judgement, described the court verdict as a victory for all lovers of justice.
“The judgment of the Supreme Court today discharging and acquitting Sen. Nwaoboshi has further restored the confidence of the common man in our judiciary institutions.

“I commended the Supreme Court for its courage in upholding justice despite lobbying from certain individuals who were hellbent on seeing Sen. Nwaoboshi goes down.
“In setting aside the judgement of the lower appellate court, the Justices of the Supreme Court has reaffirmed the saying that “the Judiciary is truly the last hope of the common man”.
“Congratulations to you my leader and elder brother, Sen. Peter Nwaoboshi. Your victory is a victory for all Delta Northerners”, the statement read.
The Lagos division of the Court of Appeal had earlier convicted and sentenced Sen. Nwaoboshi to seven years imprisonment on the 1st of July 2022 on the two count charge of money laundering and fraud, a judgement the Supreme Court has not only set aside but chided also those who filed the case in the first place.
