Sapele Council Chair Task Journalists On Professionalism

The Executives Chairman of Sapele Local Government. Council, Hon. Eugene Inoaghan has appealed to journalists in the area to display professionalism , be objective in their reports and verify facts before publishing, aimed at giving a true position about an event so as not to mislead members of the public.
Inoaghan made this appeal recently in his office while playing host to members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ Sapele Correspondents Chapel when the Executive of the union paid him a courtesy call.
The Council Boss while expressing his gratitude to the NUJ for the visit, again emphasized on the importance of accuracy in news reportage; while assuring the union of his unalloyed support to this new administration led by Comrade Nelson Agbajor.
On his part, Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ Sapele Correspondents Chapel, Comrade Nelson Agbajor in his remarks, thanked the Local Government Chairman for the warm reception.

Agbajor while commending the Council Chairman for the giant strides in his administration so far, said that Sapele Local Government will experience more development in this administration under Hon. Eugene Inoaghan.
The NUJ Chairman while appealing to the Local Government Chairman of his support towards this administration, noted that the union will continue to partner and work in synergy with the council in media relation.
Nelson Agbajor while assuring the Council Chairman that members of the NUJ will continue to display professionalism in the discharge of their duties, also call on the local government to constantly communicate with the NUJ so as to fish out quarks that are tarnishing the image of the profession in the area.
The Chapel Chairman then officially inform the Local Government Chairman about the planned 2023 Press Week of the union.
The visit was well attended by top management staffs of the council among whom was the Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Felix Ayemidejor.
