Itakpe/Ujewu Railway Transportation Temporarily Out Of Service

The Itakpe / Ujewu railway transportation has been out of service since on Monday 14th August, 2023.
A source confirmed this at the railway terminal station in Ujewu, Udu Local Government Area on Tuesday,15 th August, 2023.
The source however disclosed that authorities of the railway line were working seriously to put the train on the railway line at Ajaukuta at as the time of filing this report. ”
Hopefully we shall commence service from Ajaoukuta on Wednesday “the source added.
The railway transport service is commonly patronized by passengers from Warri South, Uvwie Local Government Areas and environs to the northern parts of Edo State down to Abuja.

It was also gathered that Abuja bound passengers after getting to the railway terminal at Itakpe would then board vehicles to Abuja.
The railway transport service is considered safer, cheaper and faster by passengers in the said areas that is why it is popular, ” the source explained.
