11 Man Executive Committee Inaugurated For Olodi Community In Okere Urhobo

An 11-man executive committee has been Inaugurated for Olodi Community in Okere Urhobo Kingdom Warri, Warri South Local Government Area on Friday, October 27th, 2023.

Those inaugurated include: Benjamin Eboh ( Chairman ) , Lawson Okumagba ( Vice Chairman ) Isaac Akpobaro ( Secretary ), Joy Abile ( Assistant Secretary ) ,Mrs Adeke Kevwe ( Treasurer ) , Collins Ejumudo ( PRO ) and Akpenvwen Udoko ( Organising Secretary ) .

Others were: Duke Eboh ( Auditor ) Aghogho Adejumo ( Chief Whip ) Akpan Gift ( Financial Secretary ) , Ayuba Onoriode ( Sanitary Officer ) and Akpos Owrese ( Cultural Officer ) .

The chairman of the newly inaugurated committee , Benjamin Eboh in his acceptance speech, on behalf of other members of the committee, thanked the Olodi Community for their appointment.

Eboh promised to take the community to greater heights just as he solicited for the support and prayers of the people to enable them discharge their duties.

The head of Okumagba Dynasty, Chief Bright Okumagba who doubles as the Oghwuvwie Rode of Okere Urhobo Kingdom Warri gave a brief history of Olodi Community.

He stressed that Olodi and Idama were one entity.

Okumagba explained that the executive committee was set up for the purposes of peace and unity among others.

He noted other communities in the kingdom have youth leadership except Olodi.

He advised the newly inaugurated committee to be of good behaviour and shun issues that could cause crises .

The President General of Okere Urhobo Kingdom, Rev Canon David Otofia noted that the event was a good dream that came true.

He advised the youth executive committee of Olodi Community to always consult with the elders in the discharge of their duties.

High point of the event was the inauguration of the committee by Pa Osagbowa Karen.

The head of Olodi Community, Pa Osagbowa Karen, Evangelist Emmanuel Eboh, the President General of Okere Urhobo Kingdom, Rev Canon David Otofia, the Oghwuvwie Rode of Okere Urhobo Kingdom, Chief Bright Okumagba, Chief Femi Okumagba , Chief Cyril Ezomo, Chief Alice Atefure , Hon Davis Akhigbe , Chief Hon Jude Igherebuo , Prince Charles Olodi , officials of DSS were among distinguished persons spotted at the historic event.
