Ejiwealth Emareyo Foundation Empowers Widow’s Children With Scholarships In Delta

In an inspiring act of philanthropy, the Ejiwealth Emareyo Foundation (EEF) has come to the aid of a widow and her two children in Delta State, Nigeria, by awarding scholarships and covering their educational expenses.

Ejiro Lilian, a resilient mother hailing from Ughelli North, Delta State, found herself facing the arduous task of securing an education for her two children after the unfortunate loss of her husband on May 20th, 2020. Life had presented her with numerous challenges, and it was in this difficult moment that she reached out to the Ejiwealth Emareyo Foundation for assistance.

In a poignant request addressed to the foundation, Ejiro Lilian shared her story: “I am a mother of two kids. I lost my husband on May 20th, 2020. Life hasn’t been easy for me and my kids. Therefore, I am writing to the Ejiwealth Foundation, seeking assistance for my kids’ education, specifically for school fees. My eldest daughter is set to enrol in secondary education next month, in September 2023, while the younger one is poised to start primary education. This has been an overwhelming burden for me.”

The compassionate response from the EEF management, led by its Director of Projects, Mr. Martins Akpore, was swift. In a statement, they not only granted interim scholarships to Lilian’s children, Florish and Maxwell but also assured her of continued support, subject to the board’s approval. The foundation also encouraged Lilian to provide her children’s academic results on a term basis for ongoing assistance.

On September 14th, 2023, the Ejiwealth Emareyo Foundation fulfilled its promise. The foundation’s management, accompanied by the proprietress of Peacelyn Mentosorri School, delivered the much-needed financial support. A total of N265,000 was provided to cover the school fees for Lilian’s children, in addition to the award of full scholarships.

Overwhelmed by gratitude, Ejiro Lilian expressed her heartfelt appreciation for the foundation’s generosity, which exceeded her expectations. She voiced her prayers for more blessings to be bestowed upon the foundation, recognizing the profound impact it had on her family’s life.
