Ekabo Heads UPU’s Ighele Election Committee
The Dean of Obiaruku Deanery and Parish Priest of Christ the King Catholic Church, Obiaruku, Rev (Fr) Christopher Ekabo (JP) has been appointed as the chairman of the Election Committee for the Youth Wing (Ukoko R’Ighele Urhobo) of the Urhobo Progress Union, UPU.
The UPU’s President General, Olorogun (Barr) Ese Gam Owe also appointed Chief Abel Opuidi as Alternate Chairman and Chief Emmanuel Omovie as Secretary.
Other members are Chief Augustine Ogheneovo Atiti, Chief Col. Babuba, Pst Simeon Oduesi, Chief Eunice Okoh, Chief Josephine Oduaran and Vera Ugbobor.

According to the memo released by the UPU’s secretariat, the position of the president is opened to all kingdoms while others are zoned as follows: Treasurer (Mosogar), PRO (Jesse), Secretary (Oruarivie-Abraka) and Financial Secretary (Umiagwa-Abraka) respectively.
The Committee has been mandated to sell forms to aspirants and conduct the election on Saturday, 28th October, 2023.
