Ex-President Buhari Condoles Senator Ahmed Lawan On Mother’s Demise
Former President Muhammadu Buhari has extended his heartfelt condolences to the former Senate President, Dr. Ahmed Lawan who lost his mother, Hajiya Halima Ibrahim.
In a telephone conversation with Senator Ahmed Lawan on Monday, Muhammadu Buhari recalled the simplicity and warmth of the deceased Hajiya Halima, saying “I’am deeply saddened to learn about the demise of your mother. My heartfelt condolences are with you in this intense period of grief.”

Senator Lawan’s mother passed on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at her residence in Gashua town, Bade Local Government Area of Yobe State. She was aged 86 years old.
Hajiya Halima Ibrahim was buried according to Islamic rites on Sunday, October 15, 2023, at Gashua.
