itel Rebrands, Launches P55+, P55T, P55 5G, P55 Fast Charge Smartphones
…Re-affirms Commitment, Dedication To Community Development
itel, manufacturer of Smartphones, yesterday, rebranded and Launched the itel company’s identity with a new logo that reflects its true status of a reliable and affordable smart life brand that is positioned to serve over 300 million families in the global emerging markets, including Nigeria.
Speaking to newsmen at the event held at Lekki, Lagos state, the itel Nigeria’s Manager, Mr. Harlan Tang and the itel West Africa Sales Director, Mr. Veeki Chen, said the new brand identity, which begins a new era for the smartphone company, replaces the existing logo whose current visual image is aging, having been used for more than 10 years.
The duo said the new logo would enhance the brand’s perception in line with the current changes in public and industrial design trends, pointing out
that the itel Company in partnership with Airtel has brought new chains to the market that will make everybody enjoy a better life which is Itel slogan.
They noted that the event is a celebration of innovation, resilience and Itel commitment to reshaping the smart life service in emerging markets, saying
that after 16 remarkable years, itel stands with a renewed spirit, and their evolution encompasses a comprehensive “Smart Life” brand.
Speaking further, they said, “Today, we would proudly be unveiling the itel P55 series, featuring four variants, including the ground breaking itel P55 5G- our first foray into the 5G world”.
“As we introduce these innovative products, we reaffirm our dedication to community development through strategic collaborations. Our partnerships with Airtel and Google, showcase our commitment to enhancing user experiences.

The Marketing Manager, itel West Africa 1, Mr. Oke Umurhohwo, said itel brand has for the past 16 years serving consumers in the mass market, saying that the itel brand re-launch was an avenue for the company to diversify its operations from just being a manufacturer of smartphones but to other products like electronics, home appliances and others.
Unvailing the prices of the new smartphones, the Marketing Manager, West Africa 1, Mr. Oke Umurhohwo said the prices of the product are P55 128GB Version N93,900, P55 256GB Version N102,900, P55T N101,300 P55+, N119,900 while P55 5G which is the biggest of all is N138,200.
Umurhohwo said, “We are reliable and affordable. Even with this new era our mission doesn’t change, that is why we are saying “Same Destination, Different Journey”. And in the itel ecosystem, we started something new in the 2023 with the Keekids powered by itel for kids between 3 and 15years.”
“One of the biggest challenge for 5G expansion in Nigeria is the huge cost of getting devices; but itel have done it, we have always believed in producing reliable smart devices for people at the most affordable prices; and today’s launch of the itel P55 series and the P55 5G which the most affordable 5G phone in Nigeria”.
Director of Marketing, Airtel Nigeria, Ismail Adeshina, said Partnering with itel to launch the affordable P55 5G moves us much closer to delivering the benefits of 5G to more Nigerians. “Our belief at Airtel is that high-speed internet access will drive socio-economic growth across the country, and itel P55 5G will allow many more Nigerians to experience the power of 5G in their lives and businesses”.
Highpoints of the unveiling ceremony was a free ticket to Cote’ D’ Ivoire to watch the AFCON 2024 football, as a reward giving to some customers for their good performance.
