Erute Declares Interest For Agbarho Ward 2 Councilorship Seat

A female political icon, Mrs Onoriode Odjevwedje- Erute has declared her interest in the seat in an enlarged meeting of the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP) in Agbarho Ward 2, Ehwerhe, Agbarho Community, Ughelli North Local Government Area last weekend.

The councilorship aspirant who is married to the President General of Uvwie General Improvement Union (UGIU), Chief Abovi Hope Erute in a speech at the event, explained that she was into the contest to better the lots of the people of the ward and contribute more to the development of the party, just as she assured that she can achieve this with her experience in politics and the implementation of the MORE Agenda of Governor Sheriff Francis Oborevwori.

Erute stressed that she has what it takes to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people and to contribute to the development of the party.

” I cut my teeth in politics when I contested and won as the president of Students Union Government ( SUG ) of Delta State Polytechnic, Otefe – Oghara which made me the first female to achieve that feat in the South South Region of Nigeria and the first female in the country.

” After my service year, I went into business and worked assiduously for the growth of our great party, the PDP both at ward, local government and atate levels.

“So if given the mandate to serve , I will do more,” she added

Erute therefore solicited for the support of members particularly leaders and elders of the party in the ward for their endorsement as the party councilorship candidate in the forthcoming party primaries.

She was later prayed for by the leaders and elders of the party in the ward.

She thereafter expressed her profound appreciation to the leaders and elders of the present at the event and others who she said were too numerous to mention including her husband, Chief Abovi Hope Erute, his relations and friends for gracing the epoch making event.
