Nwaoboshi Debunks Reports Of His Arrest
The former Senator who represented Delta North Senatorial District in the 9th Assembly, Senator Peter Nwaoboshi has debunked reports making the rounds in some quarters that he was arrested over a defamation case by the police.
A statement from his SPON media office described the news of the senator’s arrest as “mischievous and a malicious propaganda sponsored by Nwaoboshi’s detractors.”
The statement said: “Sen. Nwaoboshi is currently in Abuja and nobody invited him for any interview as regards the case of defamation or granted him bail as alleged by Senator Ned Nwoko camp and he is never afraid of any invitation by the Police or any security agency if need be.”
According to Senator Nwaoboshi, he was surprised at the rumour.

Adding: “The Police never arrested me , it was not me and I am calling on them to clear the air on this.”
“I demand a probe into the source of this rumour,” he said.
“Sen Nwaoboshi urges the general public to disregard any fake news of his arrest making round from his detractors , who are bent on tarnishing his reputation,” the statement concluded.
