Okowa Visits Nwaoboshi In Asaba
By Ike Philip Abiagom
Former Governor of Delta State, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa on Saturday paid a surprise visit to Senator Peter Onyelukachukwu Nwaoboshi.
Okowa, who arrived Nwaoboshi’s white Castle residence located off Maryam Babangida way in Asaba, held a private meeting with his host which lasted for hours.
For years now, the two Anioma political gladiators were embroiled in serious political conflict. The battle was intense and their feud caused division in Anioma nation, but the two leaders have ended their political crisis, vowing to work together again and put Anioma first.
Senator Okowa’s visit shows how old enemies can become partners again, especially in Nigeria politics where “no permanent enemy, no permanent friend,” rings true.
