Governor’s Aide, Isioma, Backs NADESSTU’s Students’ Work Life Preparatory Summit

The Executive Assistant to the Governor on Social Welfare Scheme/ Focal Person Presidential Conditional Grants To Nano Business Enterprise and Loans/Technical Head, World Bank Livelihood Support Unit, Okonta Isioma, has declared his unwavering support for the M.O.R.E AGENDA by endorsing the Delta State Students Work Life Preparatory Summit.

The Nadesstu President; Comr. Wiska Monday disclosed the aim of the summit, in his speech during a visit to the governor’s aide.

He added: “This summit will provide students from Delta State origin with the requisite skills, knowledge and resources to prepare themselves for life after school.”

He also said “One reason why we have high level of unemployment in the country is that some students fail to prepare themselves for life after school thinking that immediately after graduation, there is a job waiting for them. This is why as an association we feel it is important to put this summit together to help our students become productive immediately after school which is in line with the M.O.R.E Agenda of our Governor; Rt. Hon. Sheriff F.O. Oborevwori.’

In his response to the National President, Isioma, said: “The idea of getting resource persons to teach students on digital and Tech skill so as to help them get remote jobs while in campus is truly commendable and it will help domesticate the M.O.R.E agenda in the students community.”
