Hospital Bill Of Gladys Ebiko Cleared, As Agberen Thanks Goru, Others

Comr.(Amb.) Derrick Oritsematosan Agberen, National Coordinator, “No Justice, No Peace Initiative,” has appreciated the DESOPADEC Commissioner representing Udu, Ughelli South, Uvwie and Urhobos of Warri South on the Board of Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC); Rt. Hon. Jonathan Oghenekaro Goru and also, the Commander, 33 Artillery Battalion, Brigade, for showing interest both in kind and cash, to pay off the remains of the hospital bills of one Mrs. Gladys Ebiko.

This was contained in a statement on Thursday made available to media houses.

Recall, that on the 4th of May, 2024, Comrade Agberen made a request on behalf of one Mrs. Ebiko, appealing for financial assistance to the tune of N250,000, after he and others were able to raise the sum of N250,000 to assist her medical bills, which in total sum was N502,900.

Gladys Ebiko, a victim of a fatal car accident, which occurred in the month of October, 2023 at Ubogo/Ugbisi town in Udu Local Government Area, has stayed in the Warri Central Hospital for over 5 months and was 8 months pregnant as at the time of the incident, after waiting for 8 years but had unfortunately lost the baby in her womb, while she broke two major parts on her left leg, from the accident.

Meanwhile, he also commended Oasis Magazine, DailyPost and other media outlets that published the story.
