NELFUND Set To Open Loan Application Portal For Students In State-owned Tertiary Institutions

The Nigerian Education Loan Fund, NELFUND, has said that in three weeks, students in State-owned tertiary Institutions will be able to benefit from the loan scheme.
Mr Akintunde Sawyerr, MD/CEO of NELFUND, said this in a statement posted on NELFUND’s official X handle on Thursday.
According to the said post, in three weeks, applications from students attending state-owned tertiary institutions will be accepted.
This, NELFUND, said is in line with their commitment to democratize higher education.

“We request all state institutions submit their students’ data immediately, as requested, to facilitate a smooth and seamless application process,” the statement concluded..
Meanwhile, at least 60,000 students from federal institutions have so far applied for the loan, with 30,000 applications successfully processed.
