Delta NAPPS Resolves Crisis, As Young, Akpeme, Ifoghere Sheathe Swords

The crisis rocking the National Association of Proprietors Of Private Schools (NAPPS), Delta State Wing, has been resolved.

This was contained in a statement made available to Oasis Magazine.

According to the statement signed by the State Secretary, Amb Dr (Mrs) Rose Obi, some prominent members considered as Elders played key roles in uniting Dr. Ochuko Akpeme, the state Chairman, Mrs. P.N. Young and the immediate past Chairman, Deacon Monday Ifoghere.

Recall that they were at loggerheads over several issues pushed forth by Dr. Akpeme that even led to his suspension from the body in the state.

The statement reads in part: “The report of the State Elders on the Crises rocking NAPPS Delta State in particular and NAPPS Nigeria in general, was as given to the house. The Concerned Elders, Dr Ukeredi , Hon. Erhimu and Chief Igbogine have spoken to the concerned parties; Dr Ochuko Akpeme, Mrs P N Young and Amb Dcn Monday lfoghere , resolved and advised as follows:-
a. That NAPPS is bigger than any single individual.
b .That NAPPS Delta cannot afford to have internal war knowing where we are coming from and the special environment we find ourselves in.
c. That all offences and misgivings should be forgiven.
d. That Delta NAPPS should distance themselves from the present franca rocking the Leadership of NAPPS at both the South South zone and the National level by staying Neutral pending the outcome of the Court cases. Meaning Delta State NAPPS is neither for Otubela NEC group nor for BOT NEC group.
e. That the parties have agreed Status quo should remain and honour should be given to whom it is due. Mrs P N Young remains the state chairman, Delta State NAPPS. Dr Akpeme Ochuko membership should restored back to the State and the various platforms. He remains a leader and a stake holder in NAPPS Delta State.”

The statement continued: “The Delta State NAPPS Central Working Committee (CWC) adopted the above Peaceful Move and appreciated the initiators. However, it is referred to the general house for ratification at the next state general meeting.”

Meanwhile, Oasis Magazine learnt that the general house ratified the said report in yesterday’s State General Meeting that was held in Uvwie.

With this development, peace has finally returned to the body with resolve by all aggrieved parties to work as one and push for the progress of the association.
