..Reject’s Appointment Of Paul Offor As New Head Coach
Kano state government, the owners of Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL club side, Kano Pillars FC has made an impromptu announcement, stating the sacking of the club’s interim management.
The announcement that stunned the Kano football cycle was made hours in the aftermath of a new marriage with Paul Offor as the new gaffer now assigned to take charge of the technical crew of the Kano football darling boys.
The state commissioner for youths and sports, Mustpaha Rabiu Kwankwaso in a statement signed and issued, on Friday in Kano had stated that the decision to exit the management and board members was hinged on the expiration of their tenure in office.
Kwankwaso jnr in the missive dated 12th July 2024, on behalf of Kano state government pronounced the sacking of the board, he however thanked the board members for their service to the club, the good people of Kano and the extended football family.

He then issued the marching orders to the management, directing the management to proceed with the immediate handing over of the affairs of the club to the most senior civil servant attached to the club.
In the same vein, the state government has dismissed the contracting of the former tactician of Sporting Lagos, Paul Offor as the new coach of the Kano soccer warlords.
Sai Masu Gide under the management of Babangida few hours before they were shown the exit had unveiled Paul Offor as the new Technical Adviser of the four-time winners of Nigeria’s topmost football league title.
Member of the KPFC media and marketing committee, Wasilu Kawo in a statement issued on the official platform of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, SWAN, Kano chapter, said the state government has dismissed the appointment of the new gaffer, saying it is an exercise that lacks the fertility of life.
The statement written in local parlance, described the appointment of Paul Offor as an exercise that is suffering from lack of compliance with laid down official procedures that guide such matters.
Kawo quoted the state commissioner of youths and sports, saying “Kano state commissioner for Youths and Sports, Mustapha Rabiu Kwankwaso has dismissed the appointment of Paul Offor as the new coach of Kano Pillars .
Further saying “the contracting and unveiling of Paul Offor was carried out without proper dealings with the relevant arms of government that were responsible for the supervision of the activities of the club, stating that the appointment would not stand.
It would be recalled that, the outgone management of the club had unveiled Paul Offor at a ceremony held on 1th July, 2024, at Kabo Guest Inn.
