Mele Kyari Has No Business Running NNPC –X User
By Daniel Dafe
An X user simply identified as Opeoluwa has said that the Group Chief Executive Officer, NNPC Ltd, Mr. Mele Kyari “has no business running NNPC.”
Opeoluwa said this in a post on X on Tuesday evening.
He wondered why Brazil with 16 billion barrels of crude oil reserve produces 3.2 million barrels of crude oil daily, Guyana with 11 billion barrels of crude oil reserve is about to produce 1.3 million barrels of crude oil per day, but Nigeria with 39 billion barrels of crude oil reserve, is struggling to produce 1.4 million barrels of crude oil per day.

He quizzed: “How else do you define failure?”
He continued: “Petrobras with far lesser hydrocarbon assets compared to NNPC generated $102 billion in revenue for 2023.
“Today, we are hearing NNPC wants to borrow $2 billion, not even $20 billion. That is how illiquid and mismanaged NNPC is.”
