Otovwodo Community Kickstarts Payment Of Homage To Igbi 11

As parts of activities marking the presentation of staff of office to HRM Kingsley Orereh ,Igbi 11, Ovie of Agbarha Warri Kingdom in Warri South Local Government Area, the seven communities under his domain including associations have started paying homage to the highly respected traditional ruler.

The seven Agbarha Warri communities that were expected to part take in the customary exercise are : Otovwodo (Agbassa) , Ogunu, Igbudu , Edjeba, Okurode ( Ekurede Urhobo ) , Ukpokiti ( riverine) and Oteghele ( riverine ) .
Otovwodo ( Agbassa) Community led by its Unuovwodo ( traditional representative of the Ovie of Agbarha Warri Kingdom ) High Julius Tobore Edafiadjebre kickstarted the exercise in a very wonderful way as indigenes , inlaws and friends of Otovwodo ( Agbassa) Community the traditional headquarters of the kingdom stormed the temporary palace of Igbi 11 in Ogunu in their numbers and made a memorable presentation of cash, food items , a sizeable ram, local and foreign brewed drinks that will be difficult to forget in a hurry .

Members of the ancient Agbarha Warri Emah ( royal ) dance group sponsored by Otovwodo ( Agbassa) did what they know best as they entertained HRM Igbi 11 and other distinguished guests present at the historic event to their satisfaction.

The member representing Warri South Constituency 11 at the Delta State House of Assembly, Chief Hon Benson Obireh who is also the deputy Unuovwodo of Otovwodo ( Agbassa), Okpako R ‘ Ovwodo ( the most elderly man ) in the community Chief Raphael Okene a lawyer, Elder Williams Ope Jnr ( Secretary) Chief Birinus Ojogri ( who spoke on behalf of the community), Mr Jasper Osioh ( the Oghwuvwie of the Community) , Comrades Precious Bazunu ( the youth chairman of the community ) Elder Austin Okene ( a former SSG to Warri South Local Government Council and a legal icon ) Mr Joseph Ugbejevun ( President of the prestigious Agbarha Warri League) were among the galaxy of distinguished personalities that were in the entourage of High Chief Julius Tobore Edafiadjebre ( JP).

While Chief Emmanuel Ememu JP ( the President General of Agbarha Warri Kingdom) High Chief Sir Sylvester Udi JP ( the Deputy Unuovwodo of Ogunu Community) Chief Jackson Egbedi JP , Chief Bennard Kpesu were among those that accompanied the Ovie of Agbarha Warri in ushering in the Otovwodo ( Agbassa) people.

Highpoint of the occasion was special prayers said by the Agbarha Warri monarch for Otovwodo ( Agbassa) people.
