Police Re-Arrest Key Suspect In Murder Of Former Irewole LG Chairman

The Osun State Police Command has confirmed the re-arrest of Ademola Adelugbin, alias “Fighter,” a prime suspect in the brutal killing of the former Chairman of Irewole Local Government, Hon. Remi Abass.
Police sources said that the suspect, who was a former driver and personal assistant to the late chairman, was apprehended on April 17 at about 10:30 a.m. following a credible tip-off.
Adelugbin was alleged to have led the group that murdered Hon. Abass, reportedly shooting him and pouring acid into his mouth.

The sources said that the suspect has since been handed over to the Intelligence Response Team (IRT) in Abuja for further investigation.
