Delta Monarch Becomes Patron Of Oasis Magazine Chapel
…Promises To Attend DISNA 2024
By Daniel Dafe
The Ovie of Umiaghwa Abraka Kingdom in Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State, HRM (AVM) Lucky Ochuko Ararile has said that he will support and partner with Oasis Magazine Chapel in its quest to make positive impact in the area and Nigeria at large.
The traditional ruler said this when members of the newly inaugurated chapel visited him on Wednesday during a courtesy call to introduce the chapel to him, urging him to accept the role of patron.
While accepting the role, HRM Ararile congratulated the media house on the establishment of the chapel.
In his words, “I have always interacted with chapels because all my life I have been involved with them since I am always surrounded with journalists. I have interacted with Government House Chapel, State House Chapel, Aso Rock Chapel, and so on. So, I am happy I have one right here. My wish for you is that you continue to expand, progress, be relevant and become the right reference point for online journalism.”

He continued: “I have been following the progress of Oasis Magazine since my coronation and I have had the occasion to personally interact severally with the publisher. So, I know him and I think he knows me and you have done very well. Online publications are now very competitive because all you need probably is a phone. So, the fact that you have survived this long means that your business model is a successful one.”
Earlier, the leader of the delegation, Daniel Umukoro, in his address, noted that since the king’s coronation, Oasis Magazine has had a very cordial relationship with him and the kingdom, adding: “This is because of your interest in the growth and success of those around you.”
“You are one of the very few notable figures around that have continued to push and support us since Oasis Magazine came to limelight. Thus, after the inauguration of our chapel, we said you will be one of the first persons to be visited,” he said.
Speaking further, he said: “Sir, we are here to officially introduce the new chapel to you, seek your support and blessings as the chapel begins a journey that we are optimistic will be one of unending success.
“As it stands, we say this with all sense of humility that Oasis Magazine chapel has become the umbrella body for all journalists in the area. We are optimistic that this will redefine the practice of journalism in Abraka, Ethiope East and beyond.”
He said further: “I want to also use this medium to inform you unofficially that Oasis Magazine will be hosting an award ceremony on the 9th of November, 2024. We will be glad if you accept the role of Royal Father of the Day at the said event. At this event, we will also officially install you if you oblige us by accepting to be our patron.”
