State Of The Nation Today: Niger Delta Coalition For Sustainable Development Blows Hot (Press Statement)

As a Niger Deltan who lived in the creeks, I am angry to state that Gen. Asari Dokubo has no form of right or backing to speak for the Niger Delta Region that we all have equal rights to speak for ourselves as we all know this well enough in the entire Niger Deltas, unless there is another Niger Delta in Nigeria which we don’t know about.

So Asari Dokubo that we know, has lost his relevance in the Niger Delta since all his assets and investments are not in our region, because we all know that if the tide turns right now, he will relocate to where he has his investment and properties…

What we expect of Asari and his likes to say in this critical time are as follows:
1. Relocation of all Oil Companies Headquarters back to the Niger Delta Region,
2. Niger Deltans to own oil walls,
3. Modular Refineries and Power Generation,
4. Employment of Niger Deltans
outside these things mentioned above, thus Asari has no moral standing to speak on behalf of the Region.

If the so called Asari is in anyway a man to still speak for our region, he should first of all make a positive change around him by helping those around him and then those people can say their lives have actually been changed for good and he can then speak for them and not come out to speak for the entire region that he can not and i bet you will never dare to move around the same Niger Delta freely.

I dare him to move around the Niger Delta that we all know and say such things publicly, and say he is talking on behalf of us.

Maybe he is the spokes person of the APC which I obviously doubt that even his own people will never allow him speak for them.

The Senate President that is also from the Niger Delta is unreliable and isn’t trusted by his people, thus he can not speak on behalf of his peoples right nor the entire nine state of the Niger Delta by saying the country is in anarchy, if he wants anarchy he will get anarchy.

We support the people of the Niger Delta to exercise their franchises and rights via peaceful protests against any form of oppressive government as the so called current Sen. Akpabio represents such oppressive personality in government and power, and for that, we advocate for the people to exercise their God given rights and constitutional rights of the Federal Republic of Nigeria has amended, by protesting peacefully when they are being maltreated, marginalized and reduced to nothing by making people like Asari to speak on behalf of the Government or the so called Sen. Godswill Akpabio to drag the country to a state of anarchy by his unguided statement that the country is in anarchy.

We pray for our nation Nigeria as we protest peacefully and hope it doesn’t turn to a state of anarchy which this so called representative of the government intend to sponsor and wish for our dear Nation to come to a state of anarchy.

Everyone that says they are speaking on behalf of the Niger Delta, should tell us if they speak for Amb (Dr) Young Piero, Amb. Timi Frank, or Excel Toriomo, Gen Pathfinder, Gen. Blackman, Gen. Laju Asuluwa, Ahknaton Odubu, and hundreds of others. Thus if they speak for these names mentioned above of the same Niger Delta regions of Nigeria, then i can say they speak for the people, and i will ask that if we are getting this wrong, then we are calling on Amnesty International, Transparency International, The Commonwealth Nations, diplomatic community and international organizations
to look into the End Bad Governance Protest in the Niger Delta Region, and Nigeria at large.
