Police Nab Suspected Organ Harvester, Rescue Victim In Imo

Operatives of the Imo State Police Command on the 10th of October, 2024 successfully dismantled a suspected kidnapping/organ trafficking syndicate operating in the Douglass area of Imo State.
Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, in the state ASP Henry Omoyele, disclosed this in a statement on Monday.
He added: “During the operation, one suspect, identified as Justine Emmanuel, a 38-year-old male from Amimo in Ikeduru LGA of Imo State, was arrested, and a 19-year-old young lady, whose name’s withheld for privacy, was rescued.”

According to him, “The arrest followed the swift response of vigilant operatives on visibility patrol, who observed the syndicate in a blue and white bus forcefully taking the young girl to an undisclosed location where they intended to kill her and harvest her organs for monetary gain.”
