In a fitting tribute, the renovated stand has been renamed after the outgoing Vice Chancellor, Prof. Andy Egwunyenga, in recognition of his laudable, outstanding legacy and numerous achievements during his tenure.

As the contractor responsible for the renovation, I am delighted to have delivered the project within an impressive 48-hour time-frame, despite receiving the assignment just two days prior to the commissioning.

As a proud Deltan and comrade, I salute the SUG Executive Council, led by Amb. Onos Augustine, for their vision and trust in me to execute this landmark project.

Special commendations goes to the SUG President and his giant executives for their tireless efforts in promoting students’ welfare and interests.

Prof. Andy Egunyenga’s commitment to staff and students’ welfare during his tenure as the Vice Chancellor has left an indelible mark on the university.

The renaming of the SUG stand in his honor serves as a testament to his enduring legacy.

Once again, I express my gratitude to the SUG Executive Council for this opportunity and salute their unwavering dedication to the students’ community.

History has indeed been made, and we are proud to be part of it.
