A New Dawn Unfolds: DELSU SUG Congratulates New VC, Prof. Samuel Asagba

The Students’ Union Government (SUG) of the Delta State University, DELSU, Abraka, has congratulated the new Vice Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Samuel Asagba, who took over the helms of affairs of the institution on the 1st of December, 2024.
In a statement signed by the president, Onovughegor Augustine and dated December 1, 2024, the Union, said: “A new dawn unfolds.”
Adding: “Today, 1st December, 2024, marks a significant milestone in the annals of Delta State
University, Abraka, as Prof. Samuel Ogheneovo Asagba assumes office as the new Vice Chancellor.”
The statement continued: “As the curtains draw open on this fresh chapter, we, the 31st Assembly of the Students’ Union Government, led by Amb. Comr. Onovughegor Augustine, extend our warmest, most vibrant congratulations to our amiable and student-friendly leader, Prof. Asagba!
“Your illustrious tenure as Deputy Vice Chancellor, Academics, was a beacon of hope, illuminating this path to excellence. Your reputation as a father figure to the students, always accessible, proactive, and prioritizing policies that foster growth, has earned you a special place in our hearts.

“As you embark on this noble journey, we pledge our unwavering cooperation, support, and collaborative approach to ensure a resounding success in your tenure. “We firmly believe in you, and our hopes are high that you will carry us all along in delivering more for Delsu, particularly in the actualizing the smart M.O.R.E agenda and mind blowing educational provisional of our dear Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. (Elder). Sheriff Oborevwori,” the statement said.
“We celebrate your appointment, Prof. Asagba, and wish you a refreshing, warm, and sunny start as our new Vice Chancellor,” DELSU SUG said, while praying that his tenure “be filled with joy, wisdom, and
unparalleled achievements.”
