Oasis-NUJ Chapel Honours DELSU SUG President With Excellent Service Award

The President of the Students’ Union Government (SUG), Delta State University, Abraka, Dr. Comr. Onovugheghor Augustine, has been honoured with an Excellent Service Award by Oasis Magazine Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Oasis-NUJ Chapel.

The award, presented on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, was in recognition of the remarkable leadership and outstanding performance of the 31st Administration under his stewardship.

Speaking at the presentation, Mr Akpobomeh, a representative of the chapel, described Augustine as a leader who demonstrated commitment, responsibility, and innovation in student governance.

Mr Akpobomeh added that his administration left a legacy of purposeful service and has set a benchmark for future leaders of the Union.

The recognition was warmly received by the university community, with colleagues and stakeholders applauding the SUG President for his dedication and achievements in office.

Meanwhile, the recipient thanked the chapel, promising to do more whenever he has the opportunity to serve.
