HOSTCOM Praises Tinubu For Appointing Ojulari As GCEO, Other Competent Nigerians Into NNPCL Board

…Wants Appointment Of N-Delta Person As MD of NNPC Exploration And Production Limited

The Host Communities of Nigeria Producing Oil and Gas (HOSTCOM), has thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing Bashir Bayo Ojulari as Group Chief Executive Officer of Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited NNPCL.

This commendation was made at a press conference held on Monday 7th April, 2025, in Warri, Delta State.

The event was attended by National and States executives and members of HOSTCOM, where Dr. Joshua Ojie, National Secretary of HOSTCOM, read the Press statement.

“ We are thanking Mr. President, Bola Tinubu because the appointment of Bayo Ojulari as GCEO was timely and necessary, expressing confidence that Ojulari’s outstanding and vast experience in the oil and gas sector will certainly reshape and reposition the NNPCL for greater productivity”

HOSTCOM also appealed to President Tinubu to appoint a Niger Deltan as Managing Director of NNPC Exploration and Production Limited (NEPL), adding that there are competent and qualified indigenes of Niger Delta to occupy the position.

The leaders assured Tinubu that appointing a Niger Deltan as Managing Director of NNPC Exploration and Production Limited (NEPL), will help to achieve the Present’s desire to boost oil production to over 2m barrels per day.

They noted that NNPCL under Bayo Ojulari will witness significant progress that will translate to increase in oil production above 2m barrels per day.

“ It is a fact that President Tinubu made the right choice to appoint him ( Bayo Ojulari) as GCEO of NNPCL. We are optimistic that Bayo Ojulari, a product of Shell, where “ Ethics and Compliance” is prioritized, will ensure compliance to accountability and transparency in NNPCL”

“ We believe in Bayo Ojulari’s
capability to make a great difference in NNPCL, and making the NNPCL a national and international corporation to reckon with. Bayo Ojulari, Board and Management have been given an opportunity to rebrand the NNPCL and ensure zero tolerance for any act of corruption”

“ Bayo Ojulari and new management team will restore the integrity of NNPCL. With Bayo Ojulari as GCEO, we are looking forward to seeing a reorganized and rebranded NNPCL that Nigerians would be proud of”

Meanwhile, HOSTCOM National Board of Trustee member, Chief Francis Inegbiniki who spoke in a post-press conference interview, expressed delight over President Tinubu’s unwavering commitment to revitalizing NNPC Ltd while enhancing the energy security of Nigeria through the Oil and Gas sector.

‎For his part, Chief Inegbiniki appealed to President Bola Tinubu to appoint a Niger Deltan as Managing Director of NNPC Exploration and Production Limited.

‎He noted that Niger Deltans have competent individuals who will help actualize the president’s desire and commitment to increasing daily crude oil production to over two million barrels per day.
