127 Villagers Abducted, Six Killed In Kebbi Bandit Attack

At least 127 persons have been abducted and six others killed following a bandit attack on Danmuntari and Ali villages in Danko/Wasagu Local Government Area of Kebbi State.
Zagazola Makama understands that the attack, which occurred on May 27 at about 9 a.m., was reportedly carried out by gunmen suspected to be armed bandits who stormed the villages near the border with Zamfara State.
The sources confirmed the identities of those killed as: Malam Mudaha, Al’ameen Mohammed, Safwan Abubakar, Tanko Mohammed, Ibrahim Garba, Inno Mudaha (female).
The victims’ corpses were recovered and later released to their families for burial after undergoing autopsy at the General Hospital, Wasagu.

Police sources said that due to the nature of the terrain, response was delayed but a combined troops comprising the Army, Police Tactical Unit, and local vigilantes has now been deployed for rescue operations.
