Niger: Flood Claims 20 Lives, 50 Houses Submerged
Niger state Emergency Management Agency has confirmed that more than twenty people died in a flood that submerged about fifty houses in two communities, Tiffin maza and Anguwan hausawa in Mokwa local government area of the state.
The Director General of the Agency, Abdullahi Baba Arah said the flood was as a result of heavy down pour on Wednesday in the area.

He added that three survivors, a woman and her two children are currently receiving treatment at the Mokwa General Hospital while rescue operations were still ongoing as at the time of this report.
In the meantime, Niger State Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago, in a statement by the Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, commensurates with the victims of the natural disaster.
