Abraka Insecurity: DELSU VC Directs Students To Stay Indoors Thursday

Vice Chancellor, Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, Professor Samuel Asagba has directed students of the institution to stay indoors on Thursday

In a statement on Wednesday evening he personally signed, Prof Asagba, said: “I wish to inform you all that due to the security situation in Abraka town, I have directed all our students to remain indoors tomorrow Thursday, June 5, 2025 till Management is sure of the safety of both staff and students.”

Adding: “Consequently, lectures and other academic activities will not hold tomorrow Thursday, June 5, 2025.”

“Let us all hope for a return to normality after the public holidays,” he concluded.

Recall that on Wednesday afternoon, two Abraka indigenes were killed by suspected kidnappers in what has been described as a reprisal attack following the death of four kidnappers who were gunned down by security operatives during an operation earlier in the day.
