Bandits Kill Pastor, Church Member, Abduct Woman In Katsina Church Attack

Suspected bandits launched a deadly attack on Bege Baptist Church in the Yaribori community of Kafur Local Government Area, Katsina State, on the night of Monday, July 7, 2025, according to a report by Daily Post on Wednesday, July 9.
During the assault, the assailants shot and killed the church’s pastor, Reverend Emmanuel Na’allah, along with a member of the congregation, Mallam Samaila Gidan Taro. A woman was also abducted during the incident, and her identity remains unknown at this time.
Witnesses say the attackers stormed the church at night, opening fire and causing panic among worshippers. After murdering the two victims, the gunmen forcefully took the woman and escaped before security forces could respond.
The tragic event has left the Yaribori community in shock and mourning, as residents struggle to process the brutal loss and the fear sparked by the attack.

Many Nigerians are now urging the government and security agencies to take swift and decisive action to protect vulnerable communities and ensure justice is served.
